Level 1

The Beginners Level is for students who are just starting to learn the Greek language. Students learn to read, write, speak, and understand the language in order to perform basic communicative tasks. During the course students cover basic grammatical structures needed to describe past and future events both orally and in writing, as well as to understand discussions and news summaries.

Level 2

The Intermediate Level enables students to engage in extended conversations with native speakers on non-specialized topics, understand a descriptive documentary or extended newspaper and magazine articles in their entirety, as well as carefully chosen literary texts.

Level 3

The Upper Intermediate Level teaches students to discuss topics of cultural and professional interest, follow interviews and discussions and develop their writing by practicing on more extensive prose such as narrative and argumentative essays. Students also learn how to understand demanding texts and recognize implicit meaning and gradually become able to use language flexibly and effectively and produce well-structured text on complex subjects.
